Beschreibung

To whom it may concern,

Hope you are well!

My name is Isabella Fassnidge and I am part of the Great British in Skeleton. Skeleton is a Winter Olympic sport which involves a single person lying headfirst on a sled, flying head down an ice track. The aim of the sport is to get to the end of the track in the quickest time. This means travelling at speeds of up to 90mph with your chin centimetres from (or sometimes on) the ice. Skeleton was reintroduced into the Olympic programme in 2002 and the women’s GB team have achieved medal success in most Winter Olympic competition since then. My aim is to follow athletes such as Shelly Rudman, Amy Williams, Lizzy Yarnold and Laura Deas and achieve the same success at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, and win a gold medal. I first became involved via the selection process called Girls4Gold. This unique fast track scheme started with 250 hopefuls and has included physical tests, interviews, medical examinations, specific coaching, and group dynamic assessments. I am now 1 of 2 athletes who have been selected to train towards the Olympics, and have entered full-time training at Bath University (mainly gym work) and travel around the world during winter going to ice tracks. This means I am now on the international race circuit in 2022 representing GB. This includes competing in the Europa championships and world championships.

Recently, I won a bronze medal at the junior European championships, and I hope to medal at junior worlds this coming season.

Prior to the skeleton I competed at national level in track and field, I am also a qualified official for athletics.

In July of last year, I had to make a lot of sacrifices to concentrate full time on this incredible opportunity to represent my country at Skeleton. The training regime is full time making it incredibly difficult to juggle a sporting career and work to fund it. Competing at the Olympics has been a dream of mine since I can remember. A dream like this means I have had to dedicate 110% time and effort towards it. I’m seeking sponsorship/funding to support myself over the next few years in order that I can fully commit to the programme. In return, I can offer marketing opportunities for you, talks, podcasts, videos, posts on social media etc. As well as a try on our dry push track in bath, and your brand on my sled, helmet and speed suit. Meaning extra publicity for you!

Thankyou you for taking the time to read this introduction and I hope you’re able to share International and Olympic glory with me in the years to come.
